Five years ago, coming out of lockdown, I realised that I needed to be surrounded by dogs every day. They had become such a comfort to me, and after discovering how therapeutic it was cutting my partner’s hair (yes, I even managed to survive that!), I decided to merge my love for dogs and my newfound passion for grooming. 

After taking voluntary redundancy from my job in operations at Stansted Airport, I poured everything into training and transforming my garage into my very own grooming space. And that’s how Townsend’s Tails was born in Braintree! 

Two years later, I moved to Stevenage but still travelled back to Braintree to groom at my family home. When the opportunity arose to take on a salon, I couldn’t resist! Now, with the amazing team at Townsend’s Tails and a shiny new limited company, I’m on a mission to create the best possible experience for both our lovely pups and our fantastic staff.
